Millimeter-Wave (mmWave) Vehicle-To-Vehicle (V2V) communications are a key enabler for connected and automated vehicles, as they support the low-latency exchange of control signals high-resolution imaging data maneuvering coordination. The employment mmWave V2V calls Beam Alignment Tracking (BAT) procedures to ensure that antenna beams properly steered during motion. conventional beam sweeping approach is known be unsuited high vehicular mobility its large overhead reduces transmission efficiency. A promising solution reduce BAT signalling foresees integration communication systems with on-board vehicle sensors. We focus on cooperative sensor-assisted architecture in line sight, where vehicles estimate position uncertainty compute optimal direction dimension. analyze compare different strategies sharing information estimate, evaluating tradeoff between performance loss encoding strategies. Main attention given differential quantization both uncertainty. Analyses over realistic urban trajectories suggest approaches introduce negligible while significantly reducing overhead.
